Finalist in CEO categoryMarket Research Studies Ways to Improve Business, Community Barbara Allan, founder and CEO of SRA Research Group, launched her business in 1985 and has expanded its market base throughout the southeast U.S. and Latin America. Revenues last year exceeded $1 million. The firm provides qualitative and quantitative research for diverse clients, including FederalExpress, Office Depot, the University of Miami and BankAtlantic. In the last five years, SRA has also developed a following among non-profit agencies in South Florida, providing market research for United Way of Palm Beach County, United Way of Martin County, Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County, the Quantum Lung Mobile and Barry University, among others. Allan herself has played a strong leadership role in the community and has been active in several organizations dedicated to professional and community involvement. A past president of the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches, she has also been honored by the South Florida Chapter of Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America and South Florida Magazine as a Woman of Distinction. Allan is a graduate of Leadership Florida and has continued an active role with the organization for the past 12 years. She is also a graduate of Leadership Palm Beach and has served on the board of the Loxahatchee River Historical Society for the past 10 years. Her nine full-time and 15 part-time employees
have worked for SRA for a minimum of five years;
two SRA professionals have been with the company
