SRA HISTORY
We grow, we change, we stay the same.
Remember 1985? Ronald Reagan was in the White House, San Francisco beat Miami in the Super Bowl, it cost 20 cents to send a letter, the median household income was $23,618, and 8.2% of our homes had a computer. No one—at least as far as we know—was online.
Something else happened in 1985: Sunbelt Research Associates (now SRA Research Group) opened for business. For Barbara, Gail and Mary it was an exciting time.
Fast forward to 2003. It costs 37 cents to mail a letter, over half of households in the United States have a computer and are online, and our country has grown by over 40 million people.
SRA has grown by leaps and bounds, too! Barbara, Gail and Mary are still on the job, and have been joined by Jacky, Tish, Bob, Bob (yes, there are 2 of them), Carrie, Marcie, Nancy and Will, plus a staff of skilled interviewers. Sunbelt became SRA Research Group to reflect our widening scope of business. Our vocabulary now includes words unheard of in 1985, like fax, e-mail, server, and cell phone.
A few things haven’t changed at all: We remain committed to treating each client as our only client and to providing the top-quality market research our clients need to be more successful. ‡
