Your privacy is important to us
SRA guards the personal information of our survey respondents as we would our own. We model our privacy policy upon the Code of Standards and Ethics for Survey Research set forth by the Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO).
› We respect the privacy rights of individuals.
SRA monitors all collection, use, and disclosure of personal information to assure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
› We give notice of collection of personal information.
SRA gets permission before using personal information. We explain why the information is needed and how it will be used. Personal information is never used to market products or services to a respondent unless that intent has been disclosed in advance and the respondent has been given an opportunity to refuse to participate.
› We get explicit consent for sensitive information/opt-in.
SRA maintains procedures to assure that information about children or other categories of sensitive information is collected only with explicit consent and protection against improper use.
› We process and distribute information
consistent with notice.
SRA collects and uses personal information, but may remove identifiable features, like names and phone numbers from the collected data. The information may then be used for statistical, historical, scientific or other purposes.
› We insist upon compliance with our privacy policy.
All companies hired to help us collect data are required to maintain the respondent’s privacy.
› Personal information can be disclosed when required by court order. SRA will disclose personal information without consent only if we are required to do so by law; for example, in connection with law enforcement investigations. ‡
