Bulletin Board Focus Groups – amazing flexibility!

If conducting a focus group is your objective, there are many vehicles available: the popular in-person or online forum, or the less popular, phone-conference scenario. Now, there’s another to add to the list: the trendy Bulletin Board focus group.

Bulletin Board focus groups are becoming more and more popular because the group isn’t held at a specific time. Hard to believe, isn’t it? The group doesn’t start at 6:00 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. Plus, you can view the group whenever you want. I know this is difficult to comprehend, so let me explain.

Bulletin Board focus groups are held online in a virtual room over a period of five days. Questions are posted each day and the respondents have the flexibility of logging on whenever they want to answer questions and interact with other respondents.

Clients can log on at their leisure to view the responses, get a daily transcript, or leave a question for the moderator to ask the following day.

The bulletin board environment is extremely flexible, making it a natural fit for the evaluation of a wide variety of products and services. For example, respondents who have your product can review it at their leisure before logging on to the bulletin board to give an opinion. By allowing respondents to participate at their convenience, you can reach consumers that otherwise would be difficult to access.

So, the next time you say to yourself, “I wish I didn’t have to drive to this focus group and watch it for the next two hours,” think about the flexibility of a Bulletin Board Focus Group. ‡
