The theme for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® 2005 is
“Sharing Power and Possibility.” Founded in April 2003
by the Ms. Foundation for Women, the program provides the opportunity
to show 8- to 12-year-old boys and girls that working together is
key to building a more equitable world.
SRA Research Group invited two students from John F. Kennedy Middle
School in Riviera Beach to our offices. Through data entry, survey
design and interviewing, they experienced first-hand what’s
involved in market research.
At the end of their shift, the students received a certificate
of participation, a gift card, and a well-deserved lunch at the
Waterway Café in Palm Beach Gardens. Then it was back to
school, where they enthusiastically shared their experiences of
working in a real-world setting.
SRA Research Group had a wonderful time with these bright young
people, and we’re looking forward to participating in future
programs. ‡
